Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan Gets Official Poster And Release Date; To Release On Big Screen On Diwali 2026

Acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, known for his masterful storytelling, is set to bring one of India’s most revered epics to life with Ramayana. This ambitious project, produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studio, aims to present the ancient tale with unmatched grandeur and authenticity.

While details have been closely guarded, the film boasts an exciting lineup that fans can’t wait to see on screen. Ranbir Kapoor is confirmed to take on the iconic role of Lord Ram, bringing his nuanced acting prowess to the forefront. Sai Pallavi, will embody Goddess Sita. Yash, of KGF fame, will step into the powerful shoes of Raavan, while television star Ravi Dubey will play Laxman, adding a fresh dynamic to the ensemble.

Announcing the project, Namit Malhotra shared a heartfelt message along with a captivating poster. He reflected on the decade-long journey to make this vision a reality, underscoring the dedication of the entire team. “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen… Our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture,” Malhotra stated.

The release plan is equally grand, with the film set to be unveiled in two parts. The first part is scheduled to premiere during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027. This strategic release taps into the festive season, enhancing the cultural resonance and anticipation.
